Why Volunteer?

Your time and skills are as valuable as donations. From helping with van conversions to supporting beneficiaries in everyday tasks, volunteers make Active Homeless possible. Whether you can offer a few hours a month or commit regularly, every contribution counts.

• Skilled Trades – carpentry, electrics, mechanics, or insulation work.
• Support Roles – admin, outreach, fundraising, and communications.
• Mentorship – guiding beneficiaries towards training, jobs, and stability.

We work with councils, businesses, landowners, and community groups to provide safe parking hubs and additional support. Partnerships create long-term sustainability for our project.

I didn’t build Active Homeless from comfort or wealth – I built it from lived experience. My family has been at rock bottom. We know what it’s like to fight through poverty, neglect, and tragedy. We’ve lost children, battled poor housing, and carried the weight of survival while the government looked the other way. But it was my people – our community – who lifted us up, not the system.

That’s why Valhalla exists. It’s our family-led mission to turn struggle into strength. Through Valhalla, we’ve created projects that teach resilience, practical skills, and self-reliance. Active Homeless is part of this bigger vision: to ensure no one has to walk the same hard road without support.

• Valhalla University – training in trades, digital skills, and entrepreneurship for beneficiaries.
• Iona Property – long-term housing projects to move people from vans to stable homes.
• Community Enterprises – work opportunities in courier services, scrap, and property renovation, giving practical routes to income.
